Hey,I hav just recently bought a new 03 specialized hardrock comp and i am a total noob and i hav a question about my shocks...when i push down on them i hear a psss... like air is seeping out, is this normal?

Nope, not normal. Turn the adjuster knobs all the way clockwise. It should be a tight fit. Push down and listen. Still hear it?

That adjusts the tension of the fork. You could make it loose or tight, its really a personal preference. I keep mine 3 turns counter-clock from the stiffest.
You dont want it to hard though.
