Sorry for off topic, but I'm wondering if any of you use AOL for email and if you are having any trouble today (June 4) signing on? I can't get to my AOL email at all.
I remember AOL. That's so twentienth century.
Any luck getting to your mail, yet?

I was going to say that, too. I bit my tongue.
The best thing I did, was drop AOL.

Actually I have AOL. I didn't notice anything weird today with it. I have it and my .org email come to my blackberry and it did all day. Logged on a little while ago. Not a great wireless connection here in the hotel, but I was on for a while.

I dumped aol after they defrauded me back in the nineties, and haven't passed up a chance to badmouth them since. This is today's official aol badmouthing post.

I received email from my sister who uses AOL. Maybe the problem was local?
I switched to Road Runner a few years ago when they offered a discount to my company's employees.
AOL? I remember them from way back. But thanks to other internet providers, the subscription is so much cheaper and better. AOL cost me so much I was glad to rid of them. For 7 years, now they try to get me back with sweet offers but I deny them to tempt me again.

I used AOL for years and didn't experience any problems. I only switched because of the employee discount and a faster connection required to work from home.

Just sharing my not so wonderful experience with AOL when they had the market cornered back in the infancy of the Internet.

If you convert the initials AOL into numbers you get 666.
Just sayin'.
Comcast sometimes seems like AOL used to, only faster.
Weak Link, that is very funny!!

Okay my email is back up...thanks for all your help.
I have learned my lesson, I'll never ask you all about fixing an old, out-dated bike. Who knows what ridicule I might get....... You are just to with it for me to keep up.......

Sheesh. All tlc20010 wanted to know was whether or not anyone else was having AOL problems. We use it for work, even though we have an "official" email address. For us outside the mother ship, and out in the field, it's much easier to get in and out of than our own system. I use the calendar function to keep track of where I need to be. We have outlook too, but again, we usually just use AOL because it's not as clunky for us out in the field. I use AIM to sometimes communicate with some of my directors, since it saves a phone call. AOL isn't our service provider, just our email address. Works for me.
Might have kept using AOL email if they had offered it free when we switched to Comcast cable.

Nah, there are plenty of us still in love with our outdated bikes.
