Just kind of excited, so I thought I'd share! After only two months in the saddle, I met my mileage goal for last month of 300 miles and passed it by two! I was pushing for a metric century and did that last Monday. So May was a successful month with my first ever metric, did 302 miles total and am denting the pavement with 40 fewer pounds than when I started. Man I love this sport... By end of August I hope to have lost 75 pounds and do a full on century.

GOOD job .. but I'm afraid that having met your objectives may ,in fact preclude you from remaining a Clydesdale ... Anyway, very impressive mileage. I expect to get that amount on by august, 2008 that is.

First off, congratulations!
I'm new around here and don't know very much about the sport, but what you have done sounds impressive.
40 lbs in 2 months lost? That's quite a lot.

heh heh Thanks, guys. I don't think I'll ever leave this prestigious group, though. I'm naturally too big of a guy, even without the excess weight. I think my target is 225. Got a loooooot of work ahead of me.
