Who's doing it? It's this Saturday, and I'm doing the 120k. Or am I the only one?

I hope it's Sunday. Our club is holding our road race on Saturday. Parts of the course (Pescadero Rd and Stage Rd.) overlap the Tour de Cure route. That would not be too cool.

I'm a doofus ... it is on Sunday. Guess I'll have to come up with some ride for Saturday.

For some reason, I thought you'd be in SoCal this weekend. I guess I was wrong ... again!

Cool! I will double check what time I can drop the boys off and I can meet you 1/2 hour after that... its a boring route but I know it won't kill me or be too much that I can't do my ride in SoCal on Monday :p

Nope, you're right... going to the bay area Friday night, riding Saturday and then heading south after the ride.... I'm hanging w/friends on Sunday and riding Monday, then heading home on Tuesday :p

Me too. You want to try something a little different? I've got a bunch of routes in my head, or did you have your mind set on OLH?

Steve,
Is the race going over OLH?

I don't want to do anything harder than OLH as I will have the LOOK and I have no idea what to expect w/the compact vs the triple.... I don't have your cell anymore, I'll PM you mine as I won't have computer access after noon tomorrow...

Steve,
Is the race going over OLH?Ron -

No. The course starts at the Pescadero H.S., north on Stage Rd., east on 84, right on Pescadero Rd. Finish line at top of Haskins. Number of laps depends on which race you're in.

So I just got home a bit ago. I looked for you but it's hard to make you out from your avatar pic. This was my first time to ride up Tunitas Creek Rd. The hill sucks! Too many bumps. Oh well, I finished the 120K in 5:23 including stops. Actual time riding 5:07. How did you do?

Russell,
It's too bad ... if I'd known, I would have told you what I was wearing. Anyhow, I was one of the guys wearing the Juniper jersey.

We actually rode in a group, and we waited around for the rest of our party, so ride time was not a main priority. I think the total time was something like 7 hours. My computer shows 6:10 for riding time. I guess you are a pretty strong rider, then.

Tunitas Creek is definitely a challenging hill. It's especially hard if you tackle it, 55 miles into the ride. But it does build character.

Sorry I missed you out there.
