I just bought a Cannondale fork with a carbon steerer tube(the only one I get) to put on a 06 Six13 Team frame. I think Cannondale uses integrated headsets but I'm not sure if I need any special parts or a special kind of headset. I am going to take to my LBS to install and since the are not a Cannondale dealer I'm going to take the parts with me.Also are carbon steerer tubes supposed to have a star nut? Thanks

Definitely not. There are compression plugs made specifically for carbon steerers. Get one of them.

Integrated headsets have a couple of different standards based on the bearings angular contact surface. I believe the 2 angles are either 36 or 45 degrees, so you'll need to match those.

Star nut - NO on carbon steerer. You need a compression plug. Some headsets come with them, most do not. I bought mine at Nashbar for $7.45, but they don't have them right now.

C'dales do not use a traditional starnut with CF steerers, but they do use a proprietary starnut. So when you say "no starnut with carbon steerers" it is not a completely true nor false statement. You can, of course, also use a compression plug but any Cannondale dealer or mfg rep will tell you that the accepted factory method is their special starnut. Set it up right based on the mfger's specs to avoid any problems.
