Hello to all,
I will say again, excuse my ignorance as I am new to road bikes and their parts. Now, bottom brackets, they all seem to have the same square shaped thinga-ma-jiggy sticking out that the crank fits on to. Are they all the same size? Will any crank assembly fit on all bottom brackets? I have my eye on a sweet Vintage Raleigh frame and was wondering if I should buy a Campagnolo triple set up that I saw on ebay before I ever see the frame. What is the normal process for buying used parts to put on old bike frames? Thanks

If the hole is square, and the thinga-ma-jiggy is also square, they will fit just fine.

Also can't forget about length.

My money's on the old Raleigh's BB spindle length not matching what you'll need for the Campy triple, but your swap should be easy. How old and what model frame? Raleigh did have some with proprietary threading, you'll want to avoid those.
