Introductions - Hi, new to the forums

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I'm Carol from Montana. I've had my road bike 2 years now and before that was riding my MTB more and more each year until it just wasn't enough. I'm 54, have done 3 centuries and am using the Joe Friel training method to try to get faster. I also commute a couple times a week. I just found these forums yesterday after being at that Other Forum for 2 years. I feel like I've discovered a parallel universe! Though I do see one or two familiar names.
Cheers!

welcome to the boards. Glad to have you. Might I ask which other board you were at? This is the only one I've been to.

bicycling.com has a forum that was pretty heavily used but may be slacking off a little due to some unfortunate flame wars. But it's good, especially for new riders.
Hi Carol and welcome to BikeForums.
You'll find there are lots of "over 50" riders here. Riding keeps us young.
