A couple of days ago, I saw a bike on craigslist that seemed reasonably priced but for the life of me I haven't figured out exactly what kind of bike it is yet! Every time I would google an identifying mark I would come across these forums, so I thought I'd give the hive-mind a try :)

What I have is an electric blue 22" frame road-bike with a BMA-6/certification (skimming the boards I found this means crap, but maybe it'd help to identify it). It also has a sticker on the front post that says MXL vertically. I googled that and came across Colnago, who makes the master x light. However, I have had no luck finding any bike that looks remotely like this one when cross referencing MXL with Colnago. I found also a serial # on the rear wheel's housing that reads F356325.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. If you need more info, let me know. Thanks!

Certainly not a Colnago, Master XL or otherwise. Never seen the headbadge before so I can't be much help. Its a fairly low end bike, but certainly a servicable one that shouldn't let you down. Except maybe on long uphills!

"Reasonably Priced" has a lot of leeway among various bikes. For this one, no more than $25 would be the going rate, and thats mostly because the paint is nice.

What is that growth on the downtube? I've never seen that before.

I have. I had a brand X dept store 10 speed when I was a kid - had knobbed stem shifters just like that one. It came from Fedco, or White Front, or some store like that. I think it was $60 new, and that was in 1971 or so.

It didn't last 6 months on paper route duty. :D

Those shifters are worth $25 to me. Before the Colnago snobs tell you otherwise:) that looks like a really cool bike. Lower quality but clean and with some cool details--check out that fork crown. I'd happily ride that bike to the bar!

I used to have a set of those ball-end shifters, maybe still do. Kind of neat looking if you are into black and chrome, and easy to shift, but also pretty darn clunky!
