Fifty Plus (50+) - The Diego has been sold, moving far away

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Thanks to Craigslist, The Diego has been sold, and will be moving today to Chino, California, about 110 miles north of me.

The kid who bought The Diego is going to have a blast. He drove two hours to come get the bike, and he looked really excited when he saw it, and it's neat knowing The Diego will be going to a fine home. Chino is up near Pomona and Ontario, for those of you familiar with Southern California, in the heart of the "Inland Empire."

All in all, buying, fixing up, and selling The Diego cost me about $75 and it served me well as a gateway to the dark side of Road Biking. :D

And now I have some unused real estate in my living room again!

So now, I am back down to four bikes -- two beach cruisers which see little action (although summer is coming!) and the Cypress and Ruby Roubaix. My 15 year old daughter just told me she'd be interested in riding a recumbent, if ever I brought one home. :D

Good for you, just think, you've become a bicycle mavin in a relatively short time; riding, buying, selling. Next you'll be consulting.

I can see the movie now. A la the Brave Little Toaster, the loyal little Diego journeys over hill and dale, through dark nights and sweltering desert wastes, back to her beloved DeeGee. Facing relentless odds, trash compactors and other horrors, she finally reaches her one true home==only to find the dispicable Digital Gee curled up with that shameless hussey, Ruby. I just hope gunplay isn't involved.

...She has no choice but to move into a homeless shelter called Salvation Army, a place for wayward bikes. Hoping her tears won't dissuade a prospective suitor or even a step-father, she leans gently against the other bikes, hoping, hoping...

Inquiring minds want to know, did the Technomic and the bar ends go with the bike?

Yeah, I made them part of the deal. And the Look pedals as well.
