When riding in a bike lane, I've never been yelled at to get in the bike lane.

boy, HH really has his chamois in a bunch over white stripes on the road. white line phobia.

you ride in bike lanes when you sometimes commute by bike, dontchya, Head? I've seen the pictures....
Do you keep reposting the same thing because of Alzheimer's disease?

Reviving this thread to post about my first "Get in the bikelane" experience on a non-bike laned road. It was fantastic ;)

I'm riding home from work heading south on Route 1 looking to make a left onto Route 202 south. There's a ton of traffic after the last light before the light I'm about to arrive at so I get into the left lane early. I go through the light and starting merging into the left turn lane which starts about 1/8 mile before the light. The traffic that was in front of me opened up a gap by the time I got into the left turn lane and that gap is quickly filled by the motorist behind me. As she passes me on the right and starts to merge into the left turn lane in front of me (as I'm approaching the stopped traffic in the lane), she yells "Bike lane!" This road does have a shoulder which is currently covered with construction cones. I wanted to ask "what bike lane?" but instead I waited until all the traffic around me came to a standstill and split some lanes to avoid a 10 minute wait at the light :)

I've never heard, "Get in the bike lane (whether there was one or not) even once.
Instead, I've heard "Get the ---- off the road!" by brainless cagers numerous times.

my take on it as well, and what prompted head to start this thread. cagers by and large don't yell "get in the bike lane", they yell "get off the road"

Must be my lucky month. Got another "Get in the bike lane" today on Naamans Road (again no bike lane but a shoulder that's interuppted often by right turn lanes).
