Road Bike Racing - new bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. alright i'm breaking down and buying a new bike. im on a pretty limited budget ($850 max) so i want to get something that will be worth upgrading. at the moment my two options are a felt sr75 or a specialized allez sport. both are 105/tiagra bikes with carbon forks, the allez has a carbon seat post, the felt has better wheels. allez also come with a free fitting. any opinions?

I'm pretty new to this road bike thing having had mountain bikes since the dawn of time. However, here's my two cents worth: I bought a new Specialized Allez on Monday and it's a truly excellent bike. Comfortable, fast, light, looks great, stiff frame, and it just munches miles up.
Get the Specialized, i can't fault it -= really

There is a Specialized Allez waiting to be bought at this local bike shop here... but I can't test ride it so I am not sure if I want it

personally, i prefer felt by far. they ride better than most bikes in their classes including trek. don't buy the brand name.
ride both and see what you like.
