If I had to guess at the quickest from those photos:
http://www.hcphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/2967122/1/160455449/Large
Those guys look really fast. Very flat back on the captain, and excellent thigh to forearm (power to weight?) on the stoker... Amirite?
they look pretty good, but what is with the rear pack in a race???
this couple "looks" the fastest IMO even with the "extra" lateral frame.

Red Rider and I are in 6934 and 6936. Red Rider is saying "Dxxn, I hate being passed. We showed up thinking there would be others as green as us but when we got into the start line RR described us as "The couple that showed up at the black tie affair in overalls":roflmao:
Bottom line is we had fun and we learned a few things about ourselves as a team and as a couple. Don't know how bad we got our asses handed to us yet but no matter what, we did okay. We are going to do it again in Sept and look to do better. You never know till you push your limits.
These are excellent photos. Mark regularly takes pictures at DBC and other local events. Nice contrast of colors and the neutral wheat field in the background. Interestingly, those fields got harvested a few days later -- good timing.
Here are the very unofficial projections based upon observation and discussion.
1 Two men - 6930 ~ 44 minutes; 29 mph
2 Two men - 6927 ~ 48 minutes; 27.5 mph
3 Mixed husband/wife 110+ age group 6915 ~ 48:8 minutes; 27.5 mph
4 Mixed 6944 ~ unknown
5 Mixed (Hermes / Velodiva) husband/wife 110+ age group 6920 ~ 53:18; 24 mph
6 Mixed 6936 ahead in pic ~ Unknown
7 Mixed (Red Rider and Chris) husband/wife 100+ age group 6936 trailing in pic ~ 56 minutes; 22.5 mph
8 Mixed 110+ age group 6945
Those who voted for 6920 you are too generous.:)
Thanks again for talking us into doing this ride. We needed the challenge and it was a double bonus getting personally aquainted with you guys. We both look forward to riding with you again. I think you started something. We went out on the Thurs club ride tonight and averaged 22.3 mph over a 30 mile ride. Of course there was pacelines and rolling hills but that is the fastest we have ever done it. There was one 8 mile section where we were averaging over 27 mph. Yee Haw.
Here are the official results. Everyone did really well and Red Rider and Chris placed in the field which is a great accomplishment.

Created a monster...Great ride and now you know you can ride with the big dogs;) . Keep it up.:) Do you have any spokes left?
Got the rear wheel laced with double butted, stainless steel, DT spokes. No broken spokes tonight. We changed to IP tonight. RR likes it a lot better and we were able to stand and sprint together. Gonna leave it there and try some hills on Saturday.
I talked with DBC race director John Steggall yesterday. He is looking forward to many more tandems at Dunlap next year, and appreciated the interest this year.
