I've posted about this before, but not in a while...
We've got a lunchtime ride that a group at my work does pretty much every weekday. We leave from the parking lot at 47001 Benicia street in Fremont usually about 12:05 and go out for 30-45 minutes up into the hills along the Mission/Ohlone area (strictly paved stuff tho).
Come on by sometime if you're interested.
