You have a 2.0 on your bike right now. The frame was designed around that shock, if you do want to get a shock with a longer stroke it is generally suggested that you go with the next size up (2.25). Anything longer than that and your geometry will change drastically (unless you also get a longer travel fork) but even then the whole bike is being raised higher, subtracting from the overall performance and center of gravity and all that crap. I couldent think of the right word to use...
