Long story short, the back wheel on my '06 SpeedPro has a bulging / bent rim. I need to replace it! Any suggestions? TIA. (FYI, there's a thread in the Dahon forums (http://www.dahon.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4136) about the rim, with pics!)
What is the spoke count on the 06?
I had mine replaced with a Velocity Aeroheat an awesome rim (it was a little wider and more sturdy than the Velocity fusion that it replaced, but the weight is very close to the same).
My 03 speed pro has a 32H rim.
I had the same problem as you. I assumed the brake pads wore through combined with the high pressure tires.

Gaerlan sells Dahon-specific wheelsets, or fronts or rears. J can also lace you up a custom wheel too.

I have built 3 wheels using Velocity Aeroheats, 2 back wheels. One is laced to a SA 8sp hub which we used to tour Tasmania with (see sig). No issues whatever.

Ah, all good to know. I'd probably get a rim and have my local guy build the wheel for me.
