I am beging to plan a small tour down the Katy Trail (http://www.bikekatytrail.com/) starting at St. Charles Missouri for next year. I was wondering what time of year would work out best. My personal favorite would be the fall season with its changing leaves. I was also wondering how long you would like the ride and how many days. There are camping, hotel, and B&B's all along the trail.

If there is enough response I will try to mange sponsors, advertise, and provide a sag support vehicle. St. Charles Mo. has a historic main street next to the trail with craft, restaurants, and a large casino with hotel.

If you would have any interest, please reply with the following:

Best Time of Year
Best Length of Ride
Best Length of time in Day Increments

I am no where close to asking for registration or confirmation. This is simply research.

Hi there... I'm in the St. Louis area (South County), and would be up for something like this. Really, I'm pretty flexible with time of year and length of ride. Regarding length of trip, it is difficult for me to get time off of work. I'm off on the weekends, so maybe a Labor Day/Memorial Day trip is in order. I could probably get an extra day or two off, but no more than that.

Good luck. I hope this gets a good response!

I am on the east side of the river (Scott AFB area) and am looking to do some of the Katy trail at some point as I get back into riding. My only problem is possible deployments so it is hard for me to say what time of year would work. If I am in country, I would quite possibly be up for it. Something in conjunction with a weekend would work best for me.

In general, I would be partial to Fall also. Anything but dead of summer or dead of winter would probably be ok with me, though. lol At that point, I should be very flexible on amount of ride hours and days of ride.
