Hi,
I'm relatively new to cycling...but since I have moved to AZ, I am loving it!
I am interested in purchasing a new bicycle for longer touring as well as just practical riding. I would also want to load it up so I could take trips... I don't know that much about specifics of bicycles but am starting to learn...When I go into the bike shop, I think they are telling me what they want me to buy as opposed to what I need.

Does anyone have any suggestions about specific bikes I can check out?

Thanks for your help,
Susan

Hello Susan, your best bet is to go to the Touring forum and ask this question. Generally touring bikes have a longer wheelbase (it makes the bike more comfortable to ride), and plenty of eyelets to which various necessities may be fastened.

Don't forget to take a look in the Southwest regional forum for other members located in Arizona.
