I had to sell a few mufflers for this one, plus a couple of bikes and every spare bike part I had laying around the garage.

Thats a sweet ride Bob, I like it. Next is a custom Calfee for me, although the new Madone is looking pretty hot too. Ive also been considering a white LOOK 595. I really like the white.;)

I really like the white.;)I had a Calfee about 4 years ago, never really liked the ride quality. This is done up just like the LOOK with the reverse carbon decals. The LOOK 595 was on my short list when I decided to give carbon another try.

So you didnt like the Calfee? Is the Serotta available in a custon geometry, and is the price roughly the same? Its somewhat the same as the LOOK?

Hi Bob,

Nice. :)

Beautiful build too.

Got fitted for and ordered an Attack a couple of weeks ago. Ordered it in Competition Red and Onyx Black. However, I guess I need to stop by Kings to see if I can do the plain carbon instead of the Onyx. I like the effect on your bike and most of my Look 481 has the same effect.

Seeing your bike makes me more anxious to get mine. :D

Damn, it's crying for a white cinelli ram and some boras/lightweights/lews. Awesome build!

Hi Sean,

Like Calfee, Serotta specializes in custom frames. The MeiVici is pretty much custom only. Don't know the price of the equivalent Calfee, but the MeiVici is much more expensive than the Look 595 (if you have to ask... :) ).

I ordered an Attack, which is a cheaper version of the MeiVici (if you consider a bit more expensive than a 595 cheap :D ). The Attack is also a custom frame.

You can find out more about Serotta here:

http://www.serotta.com/

Ben Serotta has been building frames since the early 1970s and he is my favorite American frame builder. Of course Ben does not personally build every frame. In fact I'm not sure if he personally builds any these days.

A Meivici cost more than any standard geometry frame and is probably only rivaled in cost by custom frames from Parlee, Guru...etc.

Here are a couple other awesome Meivicis. IMO white is the best color.

Very nice Bob. I like how they did the head "badge". Have you considered white tape? Hard to keep clean but it would accent the front nicely.

http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/909/dsc0024mediumyj1.jpgBoth of these are my friend Jack's Meivici's. He sold the candy red one after he recieved the, what looks like black but is red tinted carbon.

I had white bar tape on for 24 hours, it was so dirty after one ride that I took it off.

Voltman, Aliante carbon with ti rails.

Cleave, they will not give you clearcoat over carbon on an Attack. Jack already tried, 2 standard colors of paint only.:(

My other buddies Meivici, no pressure from these guys to get one for myself. Since they are all my size I had plenty of opportunities to test ride one before I bought it.

Have you ridden a Parlee? If you have how do they compare?

Have you ridden a Parlee? If you have how do they compare?I have actually owned a Z2 and ridden a Z1. The Z2 was very similar to the ride of the Meivici. The Parlee Z2 had a stiffer tt and also rode a little more harsh. It was the best descending bike I have ever ridden, long rides took it's toll on my lower back no matter how I moved my position around. I don't have a lot of miles on a Z1 but I understand they are vertically softer then the wishbone rear stayed Z2. I could have gone 1 stiffer tubeset on the Meivici, I ended up using the same exact tubing on the ruby red and clearcoat Meivici that was Jack's bike.
