Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in Rawhide.

So...how far did you go, how fast did you ride, and how happy are you and your dogies now?

I was not rained out today, I was stormed out. Tornado watch all day (well, at least since I've been paying attention) and T-storms on 30 minute centers. Dang the bad luck, I had a nice fat ride planned for this afternoon... So I guess my song (had I gone) would have been "Ghost Riders in the Sky", another fine one. George, you have my permission to sing it in the shower a few times next week, no charge.

I was told it means Long Slow Distance. Is that not correct?
Don't forget to mount a strobe light on your bike.

If that's what you meant, dude, that's cool. Back in the 60's we just called it "acid trip", man.
"If you're goin' to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...":D
Oh, wait a minute... like am I on the wrong forum, here?

Only for those who missed the 60s & 70s - or for those who were too old back then to enjoy those decades.

Now hold on. When TWL first posted something about a LSD, I was the one who made the drug connection. Then I got corrected, and told it meant Long Slow Distance (which even then sounded kinda stoopid). But okay, I made the switch. Now you're telling me it DOES mean a hallucenigenic?
Groovy, man. Out of state. Right arm. :D

If you lived in Chicago it would stand for Lake Shore Drive........among other things.

I dunno.
Long mileage zone 2-3 training endurance ride
or
LSD ride.
I know which one I'd rather do.

No, that's Cleveland. :) Grew up there. On the east side, where we got the lake effect snow.

Might be Cleveland too, but it's definately Chicago also. Even made a song about it:
There’s a road I’d like to tell you about, lives in my home town
Lake Shore Drive the road is called and it’ll take you up or down
From rags on up to riches fifteen minutes you can fly
Pretty blue lights along the way, help you right on by
And the blue lights shining with a heavenly grace, help you right on by
And there ain’t no road just like it
Anywhere I found
Running south on Lake Shore Drive heading into town
Just slippin’ on by on LSD, Friday night trouble bound
And it starts up north from Hollywood, water on the driving side
Concrete mountains rearing up, throwing shadows just about five
Sometimes you can smell the green if your mind is feeling fine
There ain’t no finer place to be, than running Lake Shore Drive
And there’s no peace of mind, or place you see, than riding on Lake Shore Drive
And there ain’t no road just like it
Anywhere I found
Running south on Lake Shore drive heading into town
Just slicking on by on LSD, Friday night trouble bound
And it’s Friday night and you’re looking clean
To early to start the rounds
A ten minute ride from the Gold Coast back make sure you’re pleasure bound
And it’s four o’clock in the morning and all of the people have gone away
Just you and your mind and Lake Shore Drive, tomorrow is another day
And the sunshine’s fine in the morning time, tomorrow is another day
And there ain’t no road just like it
Anywhere I found
Running south on Lake Shore drive heading into town
Just snaking on by on LSD, Friday night trouble bound

We used to drop LSD and do an LSD past the LDS Church. We were so cool back then. We cracked ourselves up.

It can mean whatever you want, man. But if you going to use big words like "hallucenigenic", we may have to throw you off this forum!
