Well that little bitty climb on Saturday feels so good now that's done. A whole bunch of cool folks to hang with. That was my first all day ride. Most of mine have been in the 30-50 mile range. Quite a difference jumping up to 90, although the down hill were junk miles...

I thought you were an LAW member. Nice to talk to you up there, BTW. What is this "junk miles" business? Downhills are fun.

I work with Andy who has been trying to talk me into doing one of the LAW rides. Finally got my act together to go and saw the Angeles Crest ride. It looked to be one of the shorter rides. Didn't count on the climbs.
The "junk miles" is a quote from one of the other riders there that day, an outspoken type...

Hmmm....I wonder who that was? :p Oh, now I remember you (and I KNEW you weren't Stan - that was a joke to try and lure Stan out of lurker mode). Nice to meet you! I hope you'll join again. There is this, um, Baldy ride next weekend. :D

I met a rider today, who hasn't been doing riding in 10 years. He then decides to do the Tour de Cure, and he just got his bike yesterday ... proceeds to do a 78 mile ride, with 7000+ feet elevation gain. Now that's impressive!
