Went to the LL Bean bike shop yesterday (nice shop, btw!) and my daughter saw this right away. She just had to sit on it and we were joking about getting it for her. She can reach the pedal when it's in the back position but not the forward one. I said when she can make it go and steer it, we'll get her one. No sooner did I say that then she started pushing it around with her feet, ultimately winding up in the corner of the store where the two in the box were sitting on the floor. This while the sales staff was checking inventory to see if they actually had one in stock....

Those bars curve down, they would be mustache bars.

Well, she is an SS/Fixie rider!:p

hey hey...there are some fixie riders who wear helmets (points at self).

I think thats awesome that your daughter wants to ride. She has good taste in which type of bike to ride too. Once a fixed gear rider, always a fixed gear rider. :p BTW, she's adorable.

You need some narrower bars on there, otherwise she won't be able to do barspins. You also need an Aerospoke on the front.:)

and a Pink Deep V rear wheel(s).

No Helmet????

Her (PINK) helmet was at home. This was an unplanned purchase - well at least this weekend. Once we get back to RI and she's riding beyond the showroom floor, she will have her helmet on!

Are those bars NJS certified? Seconding the Aerospoke and the Deep Vs, along with some high-flange Dura-Ace hubs and a Selle Italia Turbo.

No keep the fenders. She's cool like that. And I'm her aunt. I can say keep the fenders.

For hubs I would either recommend Formula or Phil Wood. Only the best...

So, the question is: Clincher or sew-up?

Also, I may be mistaken, but those don't look like pink Oury grips...

Haha I know exactly what you mean x. I have a friend of mine who is a BMXer and he was wearing the same exact jeans I was wearing one day. At first, I was shocked then, I laughed. At the end of it all, I thought, "I think I looked better in them."

Clipless? Pfft. You can't wear your vintage kicks with clipless. You need some clips and double straps.

I've got two of them at home. 2.5 years and 1 year old. They fall all the time and bounce right back up. It's no biggie.

Clipless!!

Treat them like porcelain dolls and life would be one trip to the emergency room after another.

Make it no big deal and they get right back up and start riding again.

C'mon, popcicle sticks and masking tape make a great splint!
