It wasn't the longest but it was the toughest of the young summer. Liz and I decided to do the loop up through Hopkinton, along Rt 135, down South St, back to Hopedale. It's a 20 mile loop. The killer however is that the first 13.5 miles are uphill, no breaks. I used every freakin gear I could find and at one point on one of the steep sections, I was going so slow I thought I would tip over. But the weather was great and the legs felt pretty good, probably the best this year. We were pretty slow though at 1hr, 40 mins.
Then I pushed the mower around the yard for an hour.
And tommorrow I playing hookie to look for a new bike, carbon of course.
And, I'm on schedule with my June goal of 250 miles. Life is good at 57.
Oh yea, we passed three roadies going in the other direction, they all waved.
