Fifty Plus (50+) - If We Started A 65+ Froum Would All The Folks 64 And Under Want To Post?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

At least one <50 knows an awful lot about Medicare. Let me know if you have questions. :)

Also been through the PCa thing, the heart surgery thing.... *yaaaaawwwwn*

And I wouldn't mind hangin' out with the 70+'ers. That's who I'm more in tune with. Maybe I could be a mascot 'til I can prove that my mindset belongs with an earlier generation. :D

Yeah, and by 7:30 most of us have already shuffled off to our trundle beds.

Since you mentioned it. I turn 65 in Sept. and am getting swamped daily with adverts. and some serious stuff from my (now) primary insurance company, and govt. stuff wanting a decision. It's over my head. This kind of thinking just ain't my bag. I'm surprised I got this far in life with minimum screw-ups.

And in 10 years you'd need to start a 75+ forum. Where does it end?

Best scenario - never

Next best scenario - 95+

What could a 65 year old possibly have to say that could be of any interest? :p :p :p
I'll stick to the children in the 50+.
Were such........children.

Sure, when I need information on one of these:

you would be in an elite group. Elite meaning small - according to the age distribution poll less than 8% of the 50+ Forum, claim to be 65+.
More importantly, what % of threads would be OT medical questions?
Most importantly would you allow Freds & posers?

VegaVixen

Heh. Don't thank VV, folks. I'm just along for the ride. ;)

And, what's wrong with "OT" medical questions? It's all related to being able to function on a bike. I have a lot of personal anecdotal experience to offer, and I'm sure others do, too. We don't like to think that our bodies are poopin' out on us, but it's a fact (I promise you all this). So we may as well make the most of a forum on which to post some of our health concerns. If not among one another, at first, then among whom? We shall all eventually take our issues to the docs, but it's nice to discuss them among friends here first, doncha think? <curious Vega look> Whether that be in a 50+ or two forums: 50+ and 65+.

I say leave it "lumped" so that the younger can benefit from the experiences and wisdom of the older, and the "older" can benefit from the enthusiasm and "ignorance" of the younger. <shrug>
