I wasn't caloried up enough to take a ride (literally only eaten 550 calories so far, just too much to do) today so the 11 year old son is on the tandem with dad. He didn't even need to lower the seat AND he fits into my shimano cycling shoes.
I'll have to get a photo of them when they get back.
My son is 5 feet tall, and 75 pounds. It will be better for the DH with him on the back instead of me, and my 170 pounds! I'm hoping they do well!

Father/son teans are great. Have ridden with all 3 sons when they were teens.
However, Kay's still the 'tandem queen!'

The son is hooked!
Together they were bookin' on the flats and down the hills.
I think from now on I'll have to arm wrestle the boy to even
get my time on the bike.
But when I'm not in the mood to ride, Tom will have a willing
and able partner.

Are you going to get a tri-dem? (I've seen them on the road, but never in a store or catalog, so I don't know if they are production or custom.)
