Hi Pacific Northwest Forumites,

I guess that I should have posted earlier. I am in Renton this week for work and I've been trying to find someplace nearby that rents a decent road bike. Some Work colleagues have offered to guide me on an evening ride this week and they have also been trying to find a bike for me to borrow or rent. Unfortunately, no luck so far.

I stopped at a large-ish shop near the Boeing Longacres plant (can't remember the name) this afternoon after work and they didn't have any suggestions.

At a minimum, I will check out the Marymoor velodrome on Thursday night for their track training session.

TIA for any help that you can provide.

What size?

What do you consider 'decent'?

There's Bicycles West in Tukwila, by Southcenter. I don't know if they do rentals.

Failing that, I think if you could make do with a large Schwinn LeTour (fits my husband who's 6'2") I don't think he would mind you borrowing it for a few days? PM me if you think you could make that work.

I'm just up the road at the top of the East Hill, not more than about 6 miles from Boeing Longacres.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I think that the shop that I was at was Bicycles West. It was just up the street from IKEA.

Unfortunately, I'm somewhat vertically challenged (5' 7") so you husband's bike won't fit. I appreciate the offer. :)

I think you were at Center Cycles, actually.

I think you would do better on my bikes better than my husband's bike (and all of mine would be too small :) ).

Oh well, perhaps someone else will read this post...
