Today while riding thru a wooded area, I came upon a freshly mowed area. I was immediately attacked by 6 to 10 deer fly. With my back against the seat, I did not have a single one of them get on my back and bite me. When this has happened on an upright, usually one will get on your back and let you have it. It was also a lot easier to see them and to shoo them away.

Any one want to add a strange benefit to this list. I am talking about issues not normally discussed.

Here is a strange benefit (or not). Kids under the age of 13 think you are really cool. They drool when they see you ride by and usually say something nice like, "You gotta really cool bike mister!"

Yes that is a nice side benefit.

Yeah, here's one. You can pack a lunch, head out on a LONG ride, and have a nice place to sit (on your bike!) while munching and enjoying the scenery!

Never taken the lunch before. Will have to give that one a try.
