This ride is all fun. It would be a kick to meet some of the BF group.

Well be there on the tandem again. It's even more red this year with new red bar wrap and tires. I even bought a new light? We'll hope to get there early and check in the hotel before heading to the start. We need to hammer out a plan.

Anyone else going? So what bikes are you guys riding? We still need to book a hotel, but should be there in plenty of time to catch a few races at the velodrome.

I'll be there with a few Clyde's.

I'm riding a vintage Schwinn Passage. Look for me with a helmet light, etc.:p
Here's what I look like....say hey!

John,

I'll be riding my Lemond. I'll also be wearing the Giro Atmos Helmet that I bought from you! :)

Hope I have better luck finding you than I did last year!

I plan to be there.

I charged the lights last night so I think I'm prepared.

You can get a cheap light for like $20 at your LBS. Route is fairly well lite, but lights are required and there are a few areas without many street lights.

Will they let me ride with just one light, or are they sticklers for rear light and reflectors as well?

I doubt anyone would say anything, buy a cheap rear flasher and tape a mini-mag light to your bars, you would be good to go.

May drive down to Indy for this :) If you see a dork with a mag light mounted to a Cervelo it is me :)

Oh no maybe not! Ride might be full :( Can't register on active. I don't wanna drive all the way down to get turned away.

You won't be turned away. There are plenty of folks who do the ride but don't register. All you will miss out on is a T-Shirt and the spaghetti dinner afterwards. I have a couple of friends that plan on riding the NITE ride and they didn’t register. I plan on leaving Alexandria around 5:00 so I should get to Major Taylor around 6:00. If you want to meet up send me your cell number via PM. Right now Tom and I are riding together plus a couple of guys from my work. Hopefully I’ll see R900 and his wife on their Tandem. I think there is around 2500 people on this ride. It’s fun as heck.

Cool,

Mariner Fan, I'll give you a call when we get to the Velodrome. We'll try an get there early to watch some races and say hello to the guys at BGI. Plenty to do and see to waste a couple hours.

Thanks for the info Mariner Fan! I PM'ed you my phone number. One quick question is when your walking around and such from 5pm-11pm do you take your bike with you or leave it in the truck/suv?

I leave my bike in the truck. I have it locked up of course. :)
