should ride again with pics. Post your moustache bars
and why you love 'em or hate 'em.

I switched out the bullhorns for moustache bars when my hands started
going numb on long rides what with the silly aluminum fork
I'm currently running. Gotta get the steel Rush fork.
Moustache bars with multiple positions for steering do help--

Tried em, didn't like em. "Multiple positions" = 2, one up front for most of the riding, one at the bar ends for climbing. My bullhorns have at least 4 positions, 3 for most riding, 1 or 2 for climbing.

Have them, love them. No new pics, yet, but I'm running them with a Nitto Technomic stem.

Seems to me like they'd offer more positions if you put them on "backwards," i.e. bar-ends facing forward. Anybody tried that?

I asked that question here some time back. I realised because of the way they are shaped, there might be clearance issues with the bends facing rear hitting your knees.

Other than that, I love my moustache bars.

Ends splayed outwards ever-so slightly to look comfortable IMO. Im no bullhorn fan, but Id go bullhorns before that.

I presently have moustache bars on my fixed gear commuter (all of my bikes are "commuters")

I find them not as comfortable as drop bars with aero brake hoods on long rides. There's a reason almost every road bike sold has a drop bar setup.

However, moustache bars have several advantages. They are more comfortable than straight bars. They offer super control. And for out-of-the-seat climbing, they are great due to their width.

With moustache bars, you have a nice rage of positions that offer various amounts of for-aft positioning.

If you use moustache bars, you might need to switch to a shorter stem. Conversely, if you are riding a bike that is a tad smal for you, moustache bars might solve some problems.

Anyhow; somewhere along the climb I saw that exact setup. Looked pretty goofy but I was honestly more interested in other goings-on at the time.

I'm kind of a wide guy, and I move my hands around alot. I also never ride in the drops on drop bars, only the tops, which is why my other bars are chops.

Roadfix, I like the Gum colored tires, who make them?

Ah, thanks! I'm currently rolling bullhorns, but depending on the next job I get I may switch over to mustache bars (though I'll miss how narrow my 38cm's are!), and I was curious because I'm already down to an 80mm stem. I appreciate it!
