The other day I headed out the Wmart to do some shopping and picked up a few bike related items. First I headed over to the automotive section and found some white reflective tape,1 1/2"x3' for $1.79, which I've placed in stategic locations on my bike.
Then I headed over to men's clothing where I noticed that Fruit of the Loom t-shirts were on sale for $3.98. An excellent deal so I decided to get a couple for work. After looking at the labels, I found that most of the shirts were 100% cotton, but some were 50%cotton/ 50%polyester. I bought the 50/50 shirts and I've been trying them out on my bike rides. They're definitely better than all cotton but not as good as coolmax or similiar fabrics.
Why I was browsing through sporting goods I found something that I been trying to buy at bike shops for awhile now. A flashing LED light that has a clear lens for the front of my bike. The price $2.50 with 2 AAA batteries included. The light has a clip on the back of it and isn't really made for a bike, but I managed to ziptie it to the front of my bike's stem. I works well and I feel much better riding at dusk with a blinkie front and rear.
Well just thought I let Ya'll know about my finds.
