The lugs on that thing are pretty nice, and I'm a sucker for fancy lugs.

Are you sure you don't need to adjust the seat height or bars? Most have the top of the handlebars level with or below the seat. Beautiful bike!

It confidently says "Go anywhere, last you a lifetime." And the almost celeste green whispers "this bike is sexy and special".

Well, we talked about the fit for a while... but I've been having problems with my back, arms and wrist on my old 10-speed, and this felt good. I took it on a quick maiden voyage this morning (8 miles because I was afraid of the new seat) and I could feel my stomach muscles after the ride. Don't know what that means, unless I'm using my torso more than my arms, which is a good thing, maybe?

Sweet! I've been seriously considering having my Rambouillet painted with Atlantis colors...
I looked for used ones and they are pretty hard to come by. I'm not a member of e-bay anymore, but I'm going to keep looking. That is a very pretty bike, I would call it conservative and I like that. Thanks for the pictures.
To heck with happiness being a warm puppy ... happiness is a new bike in my books.
Marvelous looking bike, have fun!

I look at that bike and I can hear it saying, "Let's go. You can trust me".

I wonder if this bike would look at TWL and think the same thing about him???

Is that a bell on the stem? I am pretty sure I have never seen a bell on a $2000 bike. Classic!

Beautimous!
Yes, that's a bell! And it's going to have a kickstand, too.
I didn't realize that people didn't do these things anymore. I mean, what on earth do you do without a bell? I can sense all the Riv owners groaning. Wait til they see the dog backpack I use as a pannier. I'll be an outcast.

Rivendell owners (and us wannabes) are probably the last people who will groan about you doing whatever it takes to make your bike function the way you want it to. I really like your purse mounting system. :)

"Onyaleft" or "Bike behind" :)
I had a bell on my hybrid but left it on when I sold it. I say whatever works for you is okay.

But a yell won't get the smile from a kid playing in his yard like a ringing bell will. Better yet, ring the bell and yell "ice cream man!"

Great bike. I'm jealous. With a bike like that you can your bell, kickstand, and fuzzy dice hanging off teh handlebars if you want.
I agree. Every pedestrian that I tried my new bell on this morning smiled and said, "Hi". (I have never* passed another bicylist over the age of 10).
Of course it could have been because the Atlantis makes me grin like an idiot.
I like* a nice bicycle bell, and also the ring from a 1950's phone. They just give out good juju.
Oh, and I pass families, too, who are hauling trailers. Ding Ding!
