Anybody familiar with these guys? I'm looking to buy a Co Motion Supremo or Robusta, but want to try it out first.
Co Motion reccomended these guys. They bring a bike to you for a test ride. It sounds like a good idea.
I'll post when I hear from them.
I have worked a bit with Mark Guffey from Flying Cycles for a bike we were using in a research study. Great guy who seems pretty knowledgeable about tandems and such. It was a 100% pleasant experience dealing with him and his company.

Never heard of them but it sounds like a great idea. Are you going to cruise around, race or both?
My wife and I are currently in the process of looking at tandems with them. Last fall we started the process, and Mark & Damarla are very accommodating and helpful. In fact we're resuming the process now that winter's passed and will be meeting them this Saturday to look at a KHS we're thinking of buying.
I think their business model is good with them taking a good bit of personal time, much the same as a good private teacher in music.
Last fall we met them at the local bike trail head and they gave us some basic tandem lessons, had me ride solo around the lot a few times then we went on the trail for a short ride (my stamina is very poor as i'm a Clyde and a half and computer programmer). A couple more weeks we met; switching from a co-motion to the KHS (to better fit our budget & experience) and a few component switches and I think we have a pretty good match for our needs/desires. They were even nice enough to let us keep the bike for several days.
So, so far, no issues at all and we're quite happy working with them.

I race, but my wife doesn't. So I doubt we'll ever race it, other than possibly a TT. Just want something a little more spirited than our current 1994 Burley Duet.
The reason for my comment is that since you race and take it seriously, you may at some time want to recruit another racer and try to compete in and win a TT. For the price of a top end CoMo, you are getting close to CF tandems that you can then set up for racing as well as riding with the wife. PM me if you want more discussion.
