... it's hot out there. Good thing I wore sleeveless jersey in my ride to work today. Feels like I'm back in SoCal :D

I took a ride at lunchtime, came back to the office, showered, and when back to my cube. I was still sweating 30 mins later.......

I did bike/train with just my work clothes, knowing there was no way I was gonna ride the full length today.

I'll probably go sleeveless again tomorrow.

I grew up in Stockton... That's why I moved to the Bay Area (well one of the reasons anyway).

I used to live in Pasadena ... I think my body has wimped out, after 8 years in the bay area ... I used to think 90 is nothing, 100, still go out. In fact, I went out playing tennis in 2nd stage smog alert ... but now??? what a wimp!

Yes, but it's a dry heat.

Yep, 101 in Sacramento. More like 140 on the pavement. It didn't feel bad on the way home, though, to be honest.

As I left the office, some guy on the sidewalk yelled at me "Make sure you drink!"

Must have been another cyclist....

Rode up to the school at Montebello Road and then turned around instead of heading all the way to the gate at the top. Fortunately, I started the ride at 6:15, so the heat was starting to die down and much of Montebello Road is shaded. We've been pretty lucky lately with the relatively cool weather.

Weather.com is calling for about the same temps today as yesterday. Buh-bye, spring weather!

Wasn't out there yesterday, but if you do see a slow Seven climbing Montebello, that'll be me.

104 at the start of my MTB race last night. The funny thing is I felt better than I have all season. Rode to work today which was really nice temp wise... but this afternoon will be another story

The nice thing is that the heat is cyclic, at least around here. Give it a couple of days, and we'll have a marine layer and cool breezes again for a little bit.

I'm scratching my noon ride today - gonna read a book in the cafeteria and see what kind of fashion show the hot weather produces........ :D

Oh man, it was mid 70s when I left at 6:40 this morning. That does not bode well for this afternoon. And tonight is office softball at 6pm, should be well over 100 then.

The Trek is nice, but I really prefer to ride my Merlin. I was actually fine with the Trek, but there was a deal on the Merlin that I just couldn't pass up. I should have just bought a Seven when I was looking for a new road bike 2 years ago :D

The relative lack of traffic on Montebello (barring the occasional Fast and the Furious wannabee) is a nice respite from the more congested routes in the valley.

If I'd known it was going to be that hot I don't think I would have gone out and done 80 miles yesterday. By mile 60 I thought I was going to vomit. It didn't help that the water stop on Caņada (between 92 and Edgewood) was closed. :(

Hey Spingineer, nice to see another Axiom rider. Ain't Ti great?

Yeah, Ti is great ... but don't expect to see a mondo racer when you see me on the road.

I'm not sure how hot it was on the ride home from work - but I only suffered when I was stopped by red lights. :)

All I know was I suffered when I finally stepped in my apartment ... I was dripping sweat when I got home!
