I'm looking for rides in July that would be less than a 3hr drive from Baltimore/Washington area. Any ideas? When is CAM?
CAM is July 12th to the 15th: http://www.onelesscar.org/what_events_cam.php
PPTC has their out-of-bounds page: http://www.bikepptc.org/OutOfBounds. Currently doesn't list anything for July, but that might change in the next couple days.

By organized do you mean fully supported or a scheduled club ride.
PPTC, Oxon Hill and Baltimore clubs have a lot of rides, but most are the regular club type.
I can't think of many fully supported rides in July. Reston Century and Lancaster Covered Bridge are in August, and the Rural Legacy Ride was last weekend.
PPTC does their Peach Picker ride in late July. Starts in Markham Virginia and goes thru the gap into the Shennandoah Valley. Popular ride, draws several hundred riders at all levels. Stops are at country stores.
