I've been doing a little reading of some past threads on HRMs & I'm just looking for something cheap and basic to use on the bike. Looks like Polar has one for around $60 & Sigma and Axiom (Performance?) have some in the $30-$40 range. Am I missing any? Any suggestions?

I have a Sigma HRM from Performance that I bought for about $40 a few years ago, and it has, and continues to perform very well.

If I were you, I'll take a serious look at the Sigmas.

Sports Instruments Fit 3. Great little HRM and I don't think I paid more than 80 for it,
