Older Performance Bike computer manual?
Just bought an older tandem that is equipped with a Performance Bike CM-400 Cycling Computer.
It works once a new battery was in place. It's actually a better computer than I would ever buy -- after years of counting 10 seconds worth of revs and multiplying by 6, I almost had my multiplication tables memorized. . .
Has anyone got the instruction manual? Even a near match for the model would probably do, since the logic chips don't change all that much from year to year and model to model.
I need to set it up with correct tire size and figure out what the button sequences are to walk it through it's different monitoring functions. . .
I asked at the new Performance store here in Albuquerque. They thought the computer should go into the Performance Bike museum, but said they'd check with their HQ. Their website has some manuals posted, but mostly newer stuff. Haven't heard back, and it would be pretty well above and beyond the call for 'em anyway.
Any help appreciated. . .

Well, Performance came through. Somewhere in the files in the back of the basement of bicycle central they had the manual filed away and I've got a .pdf of same.

I too, have a old (mid 80's) performance cyclometer, but don't know the model. I'm hoping they all work the same - could you post or email it to me as well?

I was sent a "scanned"copy of the CM-400 cycle computer. I can forward it to anyone who posts their e-mail address. The file is too large to post on this website. I tried.

thrift store find performance bike computer
Earlier this week I picked up an older Performance bike computer sans wheel magnet and fastening hardware. It's about the same size as an Avocet Cyclometer 30.
giamaria, would you email me, at frangst@gmail.com, the pdf you received in case it is a similar model. I am going to need to calibrate this thing for 700c wheels.

I have a Performance CM250 that I have misplaced the manual to. I just replaced the battery and need to set the wheel size. Can you pass along the CM400 PDF file? Maybe it has the same button sequence as the CM250. e-mail is billvt1@yahoo.com
Thanks

Steve hasn't posted here in three and a half years
giamaria hasn't posted since her last post in this thread in 2009
I don't think you guys are likely to get an answer unless you contact Performance yourselves
