I heard rumors of Sanata Cruz bikes developing a VPP based Bullit freeride bike. Does anybody know anthing about this bike? Are there pics of it available on the net?

Nope. I haven't heard much more than rumours. It would take a signifigant bike for them to dump what is arguably the most sought after, reasonably priced freeride bike with the bullit.

But I don't doubt it as next years big hit will be a 6bar in theory and should take the freeride world by storm especially if it is a reasonable price.

mm, i think someone over on another board has actually seen one. he saw it at some mountain, i totally forget, it was without decals, and over the course of the day he was there it got covered in duct tape.

apparently he also saw some new specialized enduro prototypes

sshock4 that sounds like the specialized big hit. All of the gussets were duck taped to protect this new and improved design. I might be wrong but that sounds right.

Yeah, The SC VPP freeride was at N* in Tahoe a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to look at it up close.

I did actually get an upclose look at the Specialized on Sat. at N*...Looks very interesting and I like the Low center of gravity on it. What I was really drooling over was the Marz. 888 fork. That thing is sweet!

the pic of the specialized. It looks like the cranks are on the swing arm. Won't that make pedalling a bit wierd?

I have seen a few discussions about the BB on the swingarm....its not really clear. We will have to just wait till move pics come out I guess.

Yeah, the picture is not very clear but the Bottom Bracket is on the Front Triangle not on the swingarm. That would have been a bit strange for Specialized to design a URT bike.

It appears to me that the pivot is just above the BB... is that not what it is?
