I have a top line cateye with heart rate over the last 2 years. its wireless, i really like it but it seems to never want to go into powersave at home . i have to go to some really outta the way things to get it to go into power save. i am tired of it so sadly i am going back to a basic unit that is wired. no heart rate on the comp is a bummer for training. i guess i will buy a wrist watch heart rate unit. anyone else had this issue? in this wireless celluar gadgety world we live in i guess there is tons of possible interference out there.i know with this unit routinely it would flake out on the Hr every time i passed a certain building and the same when at a diferent place on the speed. are some computers less sensitive that are wireless.

You could try taking your neck-pulse while you ride to make up for lack of heartrate. Have you tried wearing aluminum foil under your helmet?

Go take a look at the VDO computers. I am not sure if they have one with heart rate, but they have been the most immune to interference of any that I have tried.
