But my girlfriend did. :) Courtesy of JensonUSA, even ran into Oleanshoebox and his son and chatted for a bit while we were heading in. :D I figured i'd have her try out the bike while i was bringing in my commuter bike to have a wheel trued.

Actually, i had been looking for a bike for her for a while (since she asked me to) and found they had a great deal on a showroom special (2006 Lemond Reno WSD 49cm) and after a bit of research found it just might be the perfect fit.

The only little problem was that the stock CF seatpost was waaay too long and wouldn't go down far enough for her (it would hit one of the water bottle screws) so we had to substitute it for a shorter Thomson seatpost to get it to fit right before she was compelled to buy it (cost an extra $50 but well worth it). Now all i've gotta do is put on my older platform pedals (with toe clips) and she'll be all set to ride.

Maiden voyage: SART this saturday afternoon. :D

She thinks i'm crazy for being more excited about her new bike than she is. But it'll be staying at my place for now since she's just got no room for it at her place... (and i'm the unofficial bike washer/mechanic for her too)

Not to be a downer, but you do realize you can cut seatposts, right? Aluminum, carbonfiber, steel, all can be cut to length quite easily.

That is really cool. Once you get her going up to speed your speed, you both enjoy riding together. It has really done wonders to my marriage riding with my wife. Maybe Mr.Beanz will chime in soon with his opinion on riding with the wife.

But, his wife is smarter than you think, since a Thomson post is just so badass.

I know. :) The salesman even mentioned it but i didn't feel like going through the hassle... The Thomson would have costed $80 but they gave us a $30 credit to "trade" for the stock seatpost so that ended up being a pretty sweet deal too.

Is that shun, as in, "Mo, you're now shunned" or

shun like a drunkard or Adam Sandler saying 'soon'? If the latter, congratulations and/or good luck to you!

Maybe some of my posts are badass (like when I say I am going to kick somebody's ass) but most are pretty tame.

Oh, oops, that isn't what you meant, eh?

No...that is exactly what I meant.

Thomson, you're just so bad ass.

Nice choice, nice pics, and thanks to your GF for helping pay my salary. Oh, and nice meeting you.
