I have an old Schwinn Traveler that I got for free and has been sitting around for a while. It needs a bit of work and I was wondering if it would be worth it and somewhat cheap to convert it to a fixed gear. Should I attempt a conversion or just save up more money and get something better? If anyone wants to throw in some advice or comments about this, that'd be awesome as i'm not too knowledgeable about this. Here are some pics, they aren't too good of quality but hopefully it helps.
He#$ yes. Why not? The price is right. $120 for a set of wheels is all it will cost you. Do it.
I just finished one just like it for the FGG path racer contest. Go for it. It's a tank, but the ride is nice.
