Here is the walmart one

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5765569

and here is the bike shop one

http://www.serfas.com/lights/lights_tech.shtml

The walmart one is 18 dollars AND has red flashing led's in the back. The bike shop one is almost 50 dollars and has no led's in the back.

Oh and although I love my LBS im not willing to pay over twice the price unless its a better light.

That's bizarre, I was just looking at the identical head lamp from walmart 10 minutes ago......

I'm figuring, same stuff. Retail specialty store === markup, that's what pays for sales people.

If you stop in the hunting dept of your local Dick's, they'll have a few to choose from for around $20 as well. I recommend looking for one that doesn't use a push button to turn on, because they may get turned on in your pack (been there :o ).

Is it cheap or inexpensive. there is a huge difference.

LED quaility is something you can't see but you know it is a poor quality when it burns out in 3 hours.
And bouncing around takes it toll on some switches. Sometimes even the same brand name will have cheap parts in the cheaper model. If you lose stuff alot then get the cheap one, if you want it to last 10 years get the expensive one
