Hi All,

I am a relatively new Garmin Edge 305 owner and I'm trying to create a course on the unit so I can race against a virtual opponent. The course I would like to create is a specific hill and descent that I use for hill repeats. I have used the edge to mark the course as a lap within a larger cycling ride (the hill is about 4 miles from my house, and I want to use the data recording on the trip to and from the hill). My question is how do I make a course out of the lap, it seems the only way to make a course is the entire cycling trip I did that day, and it won't let me make a course from just a segment of the ride. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I set up a course on my Edge from just one lap of my ride a couple days ago:
1. Download the ride into Garmin Training Center.
2. Delete all laps except the lap you want to make a course.
3. Build your course from the ride which now has only the one desired lap.
4. Load course onto Edge.
