hey fellow commuters! i haven't been on the board as frequently this summer (been busy, out riding on the road... but also due to a career change), but i'm hoping to start up my commuting again. i can't wait - i've missed the benefits of daily commuting, both physically and mentally.

i'm planning on testing my new commute today (need to feel it out, which streets are too busy, where the buses/hills/peds are, how long it's going to be each way, how much i can carry). looks like good weather and i'm looking forward to getting out there with my city biking map and figuring out the best way.

gotta make sure my winter gear is all in order too. pretty soon i'll need to put the lights back on the bike.

so... i have a feeling i'll be on the board more frequently once again, discussing the pro's, pro's, pro's and half-a-con about commuting. :)

Junebride,

Looking forward to your posts. Congratulations on the new career.

If there's one thing that tells me how wonderful cycling is, its the
attitude of commuting cyclists. Somehow we just keep on riding,
new challeges making us stronger. We don't need (but I am not against) a riding partner to get, or to stay, involved.
