Greetings!
I am a 48 year old newbie! In my youth I lived on a bike. I have always had a bike as long as I can remember, but the last 7 years I had a poorly sized mountain bike that is sitting under several inches of dust in the garage. I very recently purchased a comfort bike from a local shop here in South Florida.
Five years ago I was in a bad accident, and due to injuries, I have been fairly inactive since then. Needless to say I gained a BUNCH of weight in the last 5 years, and I finally decided to deal with the pain and get back to where I once was. I have already lost 20 lbs., and I plan to get back to the weight of my college days. I figure if I lose enough weight I can get on a mountain bike and take it to the next level.
I have set my goals, an I am already doing research on the MTB.
It is supposed to rain here in South FL over the weekend, but I plan to squeeze in some miles, if not I'll be at the gym.
I am looking forward to your help with my research, and hopefully will find some folks in the same situation as myself.
