The folks over at SSFG have a show your fixie thread but those are mostly converted road frames. Can we get a Sticky Thread where we can post our Track Bikes? Track bikes are hands down the sexiest of all bikes . . . let's post them up!

am i missing something? is this bike not a conversion? if nothing else the breaks and saddle bag would move it over to the single speed/fixed gear photo thread... that is unless i'm delusional and don't know what i'm looking at.
Looks like a fun bike for sure but I agree, it's not a bike to be ridden on the track.

the seatpost is temporary, replacing it with a silver thompson elite.
Since ridden on the track, the stem was brough up 2 inches, it was just a tad too low for me.

It's not hi-zoot. It's not fast. It's definetely not pretty.
I hate the geometry. I hate the looks. I hate the frame.
But I'm fast and that's all that matters. This bike took me to some good victories. It's a loaner from my coach, a Giant Bowery with upgraded components. Soon to be replaced with an Erba (NJS for the hipsters) steel frame that I'm getting through a trade

I just picked it up yesterday, it's an Erba pro-keirin frameset. The racer that had this used it as his "road bike" and drilled brake holes into it, which will be gone soon. Also, when me moved from Japan to Detroit, the bike wasn't packaged so great and the axle hit the downtube, making a ding.
New Paint, new decals and all of my track stuff is on its way. I want so bad to see that this badboy looks like with a Zipp disc.

This is a little somethin' I finally finished putting together. Now I can add it to my collection of other bikes that are entirely too nice for me and get ridden entirely too infrequently. Our head wheelbuilder added his special touch when he built the rear for me; I can now see the allure of unlabeled deep section rims after seeing the front on the bike.

That's a sharp bike, luckily, I saw it up close and personal at a Thursday night race at Major Taylor when DW showed up. Wish I could put that much $ into a track bike, but I get all of my stuff out of luck and favors.

My sprinter bike. It has 84.4 and 90 gears. It's meant only for training. On the track and on the road as well (that's why there's a front brake with a clamp for easy removal).

My "stamina training" bike. Has wider bars, clinchers, road saddle and so on. Also the frame is an entry-level one. The gear is 72 inches. This one is used for long distance training and some (although rare) commuting.

This is my 'going to the shop' bike. Williams inch pitch ring, Prior hubs, steel bar and stem, Stronglight cottered cranks. Fun to ride.

Love the "going to the shop" bike!! Though I must admit I think I'd personally put a foot retention system on there (or a brake).
What hubs are they? Very fancy lookin'....
Also, I assume you only go to the shops for a pack of gum or something? No racks or baskets?!?!

Hi Wotan,
Milk, bread, etc. in a shopping bag can be cradled on the up-turned bars. The hubs are 'Prior' - the flanges are aluminium rivetted to the steel centres - very cool - very retro. Brakes are completely unecessary and without toe clips I can wear my workboots ( I don't go fast enough to get a whack in the back of the leg by the pedal if my foot slips off.)
hi i am riding fixed gear pista every day,and looking to bye fixed new gear bike .what would be suggestions? i can pay good money.thx ilya

Does that really say "I pwn n00bs" on the seattube? Also, is your tire hitting inside your cut out? If your axle slips, you'd slow down in a hurry.

Haha, yeah I had the i pwn nOObs sticker lying around and i thought it would blend in with the paintjob on this bike perfectly. :D
The rear wheel is very close to the seat tube but its not rubbing, the cut-out actually has an indent so if i wanted I could have the wheel a little bit inside of the seat-tube. I hope the axel doesn't slip.

Unfortunately it was involved in a crash at Track nationals, and is receiving treatment for the injuries right now.

I was vaulted off the bike almost onto my feet (feet first on 45 degree wooden track doesn't equate to a lack of injuries). Unfortunately the force brought the bars around quickly, and into the top tube, leaving a rather major dent. Fortunately it isn't structurally significant, and can be repaired.

Nice, Gitane made the first aero bike back in the early 80's I think, that looks a lot like it. One day I should try TIG'ing some crazy bullhorns directly to the steertube through a hole in the head tube...
