Recreational & Family - This seems to be the place for some expert advice

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I want to replace an old Pacific Elite mountain bike that I have been riding for about 10 years. Yes, its held up rather well. Anyway, I ride about 13 miles a day, mostly for fitness. Some hills, not extreme. I am looking for something that is an "easier" ride, not as heavy. Any opinion on these bikes,

I guess a road bike would be better, but I like the more upright position of a hybrid.
Thanks for any help, open to any suggestions. Like to stay under $400.00
