Anyone know where I could buy (online) a 100 mm spring for an Axel fork. I would like to replace the 80 mm that came with my bike. Jenson, Nashbar, Cambria, and Pricepoint don't have it.
Thanks,
Brass

Manitou will really push you to get it from a storefront shop. That said, both Beyond Bikes and 123 Bikes are also storefronts (as is Cambria) and will certainly be able to get it for you (as can any local shop). You will be bummed when you find what they cost.

Now, onto another issue: why do you want to put a 100mm spring kit in your 80mm fork? It won't fit, and you cannot convert a dedicated 80mm Manitou into a 100 by only swapping the spring. You'd also have to swap some internals AND the stanchion/crown. Together, that conversion would cost more than a new fork.

Yes, you're right. Thanks for the reply. I actually want a stiffer spring to keep from bottoming out. I have been bottoming out a lot while riding and crashed a few times. I thought this may make a difference.

Just get the "firm ride" kit, designed for riders 175-200 lb (that's as high as they go) and you'll get what you're after.
