MySpace is the cesspool of the Internet.

nah there are places far worse than myspace.

Myspace is just home to a bunch of people who suck at making aesthetically pleasing webpages.

Give HTML to the masses, and you get Myspace.....go look at Geocities for proof of that. Most people can't webdesign their way out of a paper bag (myself included), but the thing is people need to realize that and play the KISS rule more often.

That's what I do, and my profile looks semi-decent as a result....I have to sort through the CSS some more and figure out how to make it consistent, then it would be acceptable by most web standards.

....and the really good can really changeup the layout, to the point where it doesn't even look myspace-is.

Fake Tits, Fake Rolex, Fake Friends...

Unhappy with the quality of your virtual friends on MySpace? No problem. You can fix it by subscribing to FakeYourSpace.com.

According to The New York Times, FakeYourSpace will enhance your page with photographs and comments from hired “friends” — mainly attractive models — for 99 cents a month each.

Founder of the service Brant Walker, 26, of San Diego runs the site from his home.

He said the idea came to him when he noticed, while browsing MySpace pages, that “some people would have a lot of good-looking friends, and others didn’t.”

His idea, he said, was “to turn cyberlosers into social-networking magnets” by providing fictitious postings from attractive people. The postings are written by the client or by Mr. Walker and his employees, who base the messages on the client’s requests.

Why do people feel the need to complain how much they hate myspace everytime a thread comes up?
For the same reason that people feel the urge to join the "myspace revolution" te begin with.

We are the voices of reason.

How many "friends" do you have? LOL

Yep, next it will be mobile phones, or as you say over there "cellphones".

If you don't follow the herd you get left behind.

I do totally understand the urge to fit in and the peer pressure associated with teenhood.

I also hope that one day you truly appreciate the wonder of being ostracized. Who wants to be normal in this ****ed up society?

I have a myspace to keep in touch with friends from my old school or ones that have moved away, it's also damn handy for music.

Most myspace pages are also damn handy for epileptics and people who are unnerved by silent web pages.

By the way, I have a nice simple page.

That happened BEFORE MySpace, actually.

SMS, though, is just now getting popular here in the States.

The question is now, which is better, Myspace or Facebook?

I prefer facebook personally, but Myspace is so much more popular, but I felt like Facebook had so many more ways to interact with people that I was actually communicating with my friends on a more regular basis.

Anyway when I was single I loved them because of the hookup factor.

Wasn't facebook for students only? Or is that another one....

I have a myspace that I signed up on ONLY to view a friend's page. He asked me to come and view his page and give him my opinion. I've since filled out of some of the "bio" information, but that's it. I've had a few people from a few websites I frequent added as friends, and my cousin (which puts me at about 4 or 5 friends). Everytime I log in I suddenly get 3 or 4 new friend requests from hot young girls I've never met - yeah, like I'm THAAAAT stupid. DECLINE.

Myspace question:

Why on God's green earth does everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY have to have some loud obnoxious song that automatically plays as soon as you come on to their page?

GOD it drives me bonkers. Yet another reason I don't log in very much.

Myspace is what you make of it. If you don't like it then don't get it. Personally, I know all of my friends on there.
