I've had good experience at RBM, mostly with repair folks. I've never had a bad experience with a pushy salesmen.. just don't expect good service on a busy saturday..

If you establish a relationship with a person at said shop, your choice, the relationship should nurture future bike purchases.

Did you mean complete bike purchases, or bike related purchases? If you mean complete bikes, I'd have to disagree. I get decent service at most of my LBS's, and have never bought a complete bike from a single one of them. They also never try to "sell" me one. I do however buy a LOT of parts and accessories, so I've bought the equivalent of 2-3 new bikes over the last five years I guess.,,,,BD:D

That being said, if you need wrench service, I cannot say enough about the guys at the Dallas store. They've always been super helpful, even when I'm fixing the bike myself. I've walked in there just before they close on Sunday and had them float a free tire so I could get to work the next day.:)Agreed!! I can't count the number of times I've gone in, either riding or with my bike in the car, to have them help me with something. One day I finally put my foot down and told them I had to pay them something! Super-nice guys and they seem to be willing to go out-of-their way to help you out. And the location is great!
