Road Cycling - I still blame you people....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
For my bike lust.....
I got my Sirrus Hybrid just to tool around town bike path, fitness and now I commute to work 2 times a week on it (20miles each way) and I have serious road bike lust.
I want one....:p
I know I don't need it and it'll cost a ton but I want one.
I test road the Trek 5200 and a Lemond Zurich the other day. Both felt good from what I could tell in the little test ride street they have.
Then I stopped in the Tri-athelete shop that does a lot of custom builds. Calfee uuuurrrrrrrrrgh urrrrghhhhh urghhhhhh. I'm like Tim Allen and I haven't even ridden one. :p
Looks like an expensive toy (not sure which one) will eventually show up in my future. Till then I shop/lust . Oh yeah and ride.
I REALLY need to find a different board to hang out on. ;)

Sounds very familiar:
I bought a Hybrid last Spring, and then got hooked on biking. Test rode:
Alum: CAAD 7 liked it
Steel: Zurich like it better
Ti: Litespeed like it even better
Carbon: Calfee Luna Pro - WOW
Well I went shopping with the idea of spending $1,500 but spent $3,000 on the Calfee...2,000 miles later, and at a pace of over 200 miles/wk I love it more each day.
I wanted a bike I would grow in too, and more importantly I didn't want to be in a situation 2 years down the road wishing I had gotten something different...I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY DECISION
Good Luck!

I too did the same... I was riding a Lemond Buenos Aires until recently when I wanted a better fit...I found that none of the std geometry frames fit me well bcs I needed a shorter top tube length. So what did I do? spend twice my budget on a Seven Axiom Ti, built custom, Shimano DA, etc....and Im in love with it now...the weight savings in my wallent was as much as upgrading bikes....hehe

I definitely blame all of you for my two new bikes. I was happy with my crappy Nishiki Meridian SC until I found this place. :)
