my partner is having problems with a new brooks saddle, i dont think it will soften quickly enough for her to be able to use it with any degree of comfort, i know this is a bit chicken and egg situation but any advice / comments would be much appreciated. she is new to cycling and would hate to think this is going to stop her.

hi cocoloco. You never mentioned if your partner used a gusset in her shorts, it is a lot better riding wih those. ask any profesional cyclist.

She's probably sitting on too much soft tissue (fat) and not sitting on the more hardwearing lean meat. She needs to put the miles in to lean up. No pain no gain!

You gonna take that Cocoloco?

j/k

Try the classic & vintage forum or foo in the lounge (I think there's a massive thread about Brooks saddles in there)

Edit: just noticed this thread is way old.

Is that tumbleweed??
